The objective of SNH's clinical staff and consultants is to collaborate with individuals to help them attain their maximum potential. To achieve this, we use the concept of self-determination, which involves giving individuals choices and encouraging them to make decisions that positively impact their lives. By understanding their perspectives, empathizing with their feelings, and addressing their concerns, we can challenge them in a way that will help them develop their skills and abilities, leading to increased empowerment and clinical success.
Our efforts in working with consumers and staff are guided by a set of basic principles. We use Applied Behavior Analysis in a caring and systematic manner to encourage appropriate responses to various situations and environments. We believe in utilizing the least restrictive environment possible, effective communication, and improving an individual's communication skills using various methods, including computer technology, verbal, sign language, and nonverbal teaching methods.
SNH has a successful track record of providing services to individuals with diverse needs and challenges in residential, vocational, educational, and community settings. We offer a range of services, including Behavioral Treatment Plans and Safety Protocols, Program Design, In-home and In-school Supports, Training, and Program Assessments.
